You can buy these from iFixit or at a local hardware store. You will need a flat head screwdriver, wire strippers, crazy glue, a hot glue gun, soldering iron and zip ties. Thanks to a handy guide form iFixit, you don’t need to be an electrical genius, you just need to follow directions. You can fix this on your own, but it requires a little more time and patience. If you didn’t catch the problem soon enough you may find that your MacBook Charger does not work due to a frayed cable that is barely hanging on. There is a small brush inside the can that you can use to apply it, but you may also want to buy a small foam or regular paint brush to apply. Plan on an hour to dry and make sure you apply in a well ventilated area. You can also use this to fix iPhone and iPad charging cables that experience similar damage. This will insulate the electrical part and help prevent further damage and fraying. Simply paint over the worn area with the Liquid Tape and let it dry for about an hour. This is a white electric tape in liquid form, so it is safe to use on a charger and it will look better than wrapping black electrical tape around your charger.
